Apparently, the youth of California is in trouble. They spend their time “scoring X in TJ,” surfing, and forming motorcycle gangs.

Which is bizarre, because it hasn’t been that long since Xander actually was the youth of California, but that’s not how he remembers it. Sounds like something out of another dimension. X? TJ? Motorcycle gangs? And surfing… he’s not sure what surfing has to do with the downward spiral of the teenage set, but it is a pretty strange hobby.

He drops the newspaper onto the floor, curls up to his vampire lover, and wonders whatever happened to normal.
